I know that sales just started in Spain and that you probably have a waited for this moment of shopping spree for a long and nerve-racking period, but Barcelona offers more than only high quality and luxurious shops. Lot of places such as Park Guell, Tibidabo, Monjuic or Born – not exhaustive list though – offers a really nice experience of this charming sunny city.
Have you been to Monjuic? Montjuic, Barcelona’s hill hosting the Castel de Montjuic, the Font Magica and the Palau Nacional, you see? If no, you should go there daytime or nighttime; both will offer you a real Barcelona experience. If yes, then probably you do not know the following activities that I will share with you.
Montjuic is a relaxing place to spend good time walking in the street of Poble Espanyol, making you feel that you are for a time in a typical street of Andalucía until you arrive in a Galician street of La Coruna. Then, from Valencia to Madrid, you will learn a lot about Spanish culture and about “Las Comunidades Autonomas”. Poble Espanyol, during nighttime, changes its face and become a place where people can have dinner and then party in the open air club, La Terrazza. You definitely should try this mind-travelling experience, making you being far from the city center and of the overcrowded beaches of Barcelona! For girls, I mention that you can also suntan in the parks, lying on the grass of this really green hill, for instance in the Gardens of Joan Brossa. Talking about those Gardens of Joan Brossa, there you can enjoy from an open-air cinema. How cool is that, watching a movie sitting on the grass and under the stars in the dark nights of Barcelona! This event is organized by the Sala Monjuic. If you are interested, it costs only 1 € instead of 5 €. Priceless! Lot of other cultural activities should be done such as the visit of the Palau Nacional or seeing the Magic Fountain (La Font Magica) doing its show every Friday and Saturday night, every 30 minutes from 7.00 pm until 8.30pm.
