I just wonder about the taxi-fee.
When We arrived in Barcelona the fee from bus-station to Barceloneta was 7 Euros (Sunday) but the same ride back to the bus station was 19 Euros (Saturday)
Is it possible as the drives said that it is due to Saturday - what about Sunday???
Anyhow thank you for ordering the taxi.
But I’m very curious about the price

We enjoyed our stay in Barcelona a lot! Thanks to a perfect situated apartment. Nearby the charmful gothic quarter, La Ramla and walking distance to the sea. And just a minute away from the metro.

Perfect for a romantic stay for two, as well for a small family. Classy renovated, sunny and airconditioned.
Some traffic around, but who cares when you are in middle of a city!?

Best regards, Carina Ekdahl (stayed in Borne Apartment )

Hej Andrea!

üdvözlettel: Sándor és Angelika (stayed in C&J Barceloneta)

It is with great pleasure we give Akaza Barcelona Service Agency our recommendations. Andrea Drottholm gave us very good help and found a flat for our stay in Barcelona. For us it was an extra asset that she speaks both English and Swedish fluently. If we go for another visit to Barcelona, we would not hesitate to contact her again, and we will gladly recomend our friends to contact her if they need to rent a flat in Barcelona.
We wish her and Akaza Apartment and Tourist Servce all the best.

Hello Andrea,

the things I like about your agency are that you have a very good and clear site, all the information we need is described on it.
The map was good and the photo's too.
You can see right away if the apartment was available (ha,ha) at some sites you must sent an e-mail and after two days you get an answer.
The feedback of other guests was an advantage.
We want an apartment in this area.....close to the beach with a terrace or a balcony. You have very nice apartments.
And don't worry, it isn't a disappointment for me, you gave me confidence.
See you,
bye bye Hannie. (stayed in At beach Side)

Dear Andrea

I found the website on a Google search and was very pleased with the service . Especially since we changed our mind a few times and you were flexible enough to accommodate us with these changes. I tried a few other similar websites but did not like their sites. One of the best part of your site is the calendar showing when the unit is already occupied.
Regarding the boat - well let me tell you it was the best 2 nights I have ever spent in Barcelona ( and this must add up to a considerable number of nights over the last 9 years ) . It was so peaceful compared to the city and yet you were only 5 minutes walk to the Gothic centre and 5 minutes to the beach. We were served champagne upon arrival , were offered free drinks and snacks on board , were treated to a magnificent full English breakfast . It is not often that one gets what you expect but it is extremely rare that one gets service and friendliness far exceeding what one would expect . I can only recommend the boat and will even on future business trips to the city consider this as my first choice. So by the way my 3,5 year old son was in the 7th heaven as well.
Best regards and good luck with the business.

I'd like to thank you very much Andrea. You were very helpful, friendly and especially patient with all of my questions. I apologize if I was a bit of a pain in the behind, but like I told you before, this Barcelona trip is part of our honeymoon, and we want it to be perfect.

I trust that everything will be great on our visit to Barcelona, and not in small part because of you.

Also, we will be using your telephone number for both the "Tablao de Carmen" show, and to give to anyone back home that may need to get in touch with us for any reason. I hope that is ok. I am almost sure you will not be bothered, but just in case of an emergency. You never know right?

Again, than you very much for all of your help. You have been great.

Dear Andrea.

I'm very happy to hear from you and now I can't remember if I took time to congratulate you for the revamped website. So here you are: Congratulations! I hope everything is going well with you. You can of course use the comments below and one I just drafted now. Recently we have bought an appartment in Barceloneta which is the reason why we no longer rent on an almost weekly basis...but I keep telling my friends and advertise for your appartments which I really think are the best in BCN.

As a matter of fact, I have two friends visiting BCN for Xmas and saw from the web site that Big Balcony (my favourite of all) was already rented. Is this a firm booking?

Anyway, I hope we'll stay in touch and please use the comment below if you need it.

"Appartments through Akaza are great in the sense that they give you a real insider feeling. They are not just like hotel suite in a building. Pictures and description on the site do match the reality in terms of equipment, cleanliness etc...but what the site does not say is how professional and friendly the Akaza team is. I recommend their service to all my friends goign to BCN."

Hi Andrea and Helena

Sorry that we've been a little late answering your mail but back to business and daily life we've been a bit busy.
It was a wonderful holiday. The flat was excellent and everything related to the booking was really good. Your web-site is very informative and simple to use. The information about transport and other practical matters also very good. The services relating to getting access to the flat and returning it was good and you've been very flexible concerning arrival and departure. So we will recommend you warmly to everyone going to Barcelona.

One suggestion: Inform customers that the Spanish mobile phone operators have commercials running in Spanish when you male calls! It took a while before we found out that it was not a our phones that did not work...

Have a nice time - we really hope to be back soon.

Warm regards

Astrid and Peter (stayed in Absolute Beach View)

Hi Andrea,

We arrived at Barcelona airport on a very hot and humid morning in early August. Our taxi driver didn't recognise the address of our apartment but had no problem in finding it using the GPS in his cab. The street was far too narrow to drive down but the taxi driver got as close as he could and was very helpful (not to say very cheerful) throughout. The fare of c. 25 euros for the three of us also seemed very reasonable for such a relatively long drive.

Our first impression of the location was not good, with a number of very narrow and fairly seedy looking alleyways. Also, whilst the Calle Flor de Lliri is a very short street, it was quite difficult to locate the apartment. Having finally found the door, the impression got worse as were greeted by dark, forbidding stone steps. However, everything looked a little less sinister when we found the light switch! There is in fact a perfectly good lift which stops immediately outside the door of the apartment but this is round the corner and not obvious on first entry.

Everything improved significantly once we got inside the apartment, which is bright, clean and very well equipped; the only thing it lacks is air-conditioning. It does however have 2 large fans, which are kept running the whole time, day and night.

The location in Born is very good for the tourist, with a huge array of sights, bars and restaurants in close proximity. It's also an easy and pleasant walk through to Las Ramblas.

The immediate area is however a little seedy and can be very noisy at night but, in practise, was no real problem and the benefits of the location far outweigh the slightly scruffy nature of the surrounds. We would certainly use it again if we return to Barcelona in the near future.

The apartment owner (who is English) was very accommodating and allowed us to leave our cases in the apartment till 20.00 to allow us to make good use of our last day in Barcelona - we were catching the overnight train to Bilbao at 22.30. However, this was only possible because nobody else had booked the apartment that night - that is to say there is no hall or landing where cases could be safely left if the apartment is occupied.

The Akaza agency were extremely helpful throughout and I enjoyed a regular e-mail exchange with Andrea.

I would have no hesitation in recommending either the agency or this particular apartment to friends or family and, despite the heat and high humidity, we all enjoyed our 4-day stay in Barcelona. I would also recommend an apartment over a hotel if you have more than 2 people in your party. Firstly you have a lot more space and secondly it's far more sociable all being together.

Dear Andrea,
We tried to fill in your survey but the site would not allow it so I will congratulate you right here.
Andrea, the apartment you rented us in Gracia was absolutely exactly what we wanted.

Its proximity to the Llibertat market and the hometown feel of the neighborhood made leaving Barcelona extremely difficult. We loved the wine tour you sent us on - very special and Trevor was charming. I also want to recommend Cook and Taste for either the basic course (and meal) or one of the more advanced classes.
You should contact Bego who speaks very good English and French as well as her native Catalan and Castilliano.

In spite of mixed reviews we loved the 4 Gats and had lunch there twice. Other great lunching spots were El Xampanyet and L'Hivernacle. Best ever dinner - expensive but amazing - was Botafumeiro only two blocks away. We scarfed down many tapas and had a number of meals in the the apartment, made up of some of the amazing cheeses and wines bought in the neighborhood.

Best sightseeing include the Palace of Catalan Music, Maritime Museum, Gaudi's masterpieces, National Museum of Catalan Art, the Aquarium, the harbor tour, Basilica of Santa Maria del Mare, and the millions of sights and sounds we encountered while walking walking walking. Our kids loved the bars and clubs.

Andrea, the Spanish government does not offer much help for those who want to visit Barcelona. You and Bego and other young entrepreneurs can and should work together. There is money to be made from tourism in Barcelona but there must be 1000 websites and much confusion results. I felt I really lucked out finding you (through Johns site) and I will definitely recommend Akasa to anyone I know who wants to visit Barcelona. (Any way you can reach out to the IES or DIS study abroad programs? Surely there are other parents who want to visit their kids who are studying there! The apartment route is definitely the best.)

So I thank you for being patient with us and also for your help.

Best, Marion

P.S. I had a nasty fall in the bathtub so we put in a rubber mat. I think it could use a better mat and some sort of grab bar or something. Just for safety.

We will be back - og helt sikkert anbefale stedet til alle vores venner!
Mange hilsner

Andrea,

You were great and the service was superb. I will use your services again when I come back to Spain.
Use that as a quote if you want!

I do not know yet on my plans, but will tell you when I do - whether biz or holiday.

Hej Kristina,

Mvh Anne Maj Holme (stayed in Unio 202)
