L’Eixample is a residential and less touristy area located 15-20 min walk from the city centre. Gaudi’s most famous piece of architecture Sagrada Familia and his other works are located there.
This area is a result of the expansion of Barcelona during the 19th century. L’Eixample is the reflection of the modernism epoch in the city.
Being a very unique area in its architecture and having a special atmosphere of history and modernism makes Eixample an unforgettable area to spend the holidays.

The neighbourhood is typically built in blockhouses with a courtyard, parking or garden in the middle of the block.The typical L'Eixample apartments are large apartments and most of those of our apartments in this area, have been reformed but kept with its original character, with the typical Catalan tiled floors with its beautiful patters and colours, with high ceilings often decorated with rims and lamp borders, in very Victorian style.
This area is perfect for those that prefer to be a bit away from the touristy areas, but still within easy reach.
