		Property Description MAP Flat located in the Barceloneta neighbourhood, one minute away from the Sant Miquel and la Barceloneta beaches, and ten minutes walking distance from the old town. Ideal for people who want to enjoy the beach in a quiet zone, and be very close to the ambience of the center of Barcelona at the same time. The flat, which has been totally renovated recently, consists of: living-dining room with American kitchen designed to fit into this space, renovated toilet with design fittings, and a double room with a king-size bed. It is also fully equipped: TV, DVD, HiFi, air conditioning (cold / warm), kettle, bread toaster, coffee maker, double sofa-bed... Fully equipped kitchen with all its utensils (pans and casseroles, coffee maker, kettle, bread toaster...) and clean linen and towels are provided. There is a double bed in the bedroom, and a double sofa-bed in the living room. The heating is integrated in the air conditioning device, which has cold/warm functions. The Barceloneta beach is less than 30m away, perfect to have a bath in summer, or go for a walk on the sand in winter. * NO ELEVATOR Please note: For arrivals between 21.00hrs and 09.00hrs there is a supplement of 20€ to be paid directly to the owner on arrival     How to reach the property   Barcelona Airport (El Prat): Taxi: 20-30 minutes, depending on the traffic. Train: 38 minutes to arrive to Estació de França, 10 minutes walk from the apartment. Train runs every 30 minutes, from 06:00-22:30. Aerobus: about 30 minutes to arrive at Plaza Catalunya, from there you can catch the metro. Your stop is Barceloneta, on the yellow line. The bus runs every 10 - 15 minutes, from 06:00 – 01:05     Points of Interest   Barceloneta is the youngest neighbourhood within Barcelona´s city limits. It originated a little over 250 years ago when some of the reclaimed land from the sea (originally used to build the Port in the XV century) was converted into a small neighbourhood. Back in 1759 there were only 329 houses in the area. In 1992 for the Olympic Games in Barcelona, French architect Prosper Verboom left his mark on Barcelona in the form of the remodeled Barceloneta District. Thanks to its privileged situation, flanking the Meditteranean Sea it makes a lovely spot to live in. All the streets cross in a rectangular style, something that is not so often found in European cities. The whole area is designed in a modern yet functional style. The day-to-day activities of the area revolve manly around the catering and tourism sector and more than anything this district is famous for its seafood restaurants and bars which you will find in abundance.
