Akaza: Hi Kristian! So you just joined the Akaza team, as I can see you traveled a lot these last years, could I ask you why did you choose Kristian: I came back to live in Akaza: Why did you leave the area you were working in and what made you choose the Service Industry? Kristian: I think that we all need some changes in our lives, and after 12 years working in the same area I really wanted to discover other things. I have been traveling a lot during my life and I met plenty of people from everywhere making me discovering their city, their environment and their way to live, and I always felt the desire to make them discover my country, my city and the Spanish culture as they did for me. So the tourist area appeared like an evidence for my professional recon version. But I also wanted to change because I felt more and more concerned by the environmental question, and things are not changing as fast as I would like in the sector where I was working before. Besides, I worked in some big enterprises and working as a freelance for smaller companies gives me more opportunities to develop what I want. Akaza: “To develop what [you] want”, could you be more precise on this point? Kristian: (Laughs) Yes of course. As I said, I traveled a lot until today so that made me a big tourist customer. Because of that I have seen many deficiencies and problems that you can have when you are a tourist. That’s why I really want to focus on our guests needs, the way they feel and how we can make them feel even better, to enjoy their stay in Barcelona as much as they can. But in the daily life, the things to develop or to improve are most of the time things that we heard from our guests, thanks to the feedbacks we receive from them. That’s my vision of the things and of the agency, to always be ready to listen to what they feel to always improve more. |
