Andréa Drottholm Owner; founded Akaza Agency in 2003. She started working in the tourist and service industry 17 years ago in Sweden, her homeland. She has worked in the hotel, restaurant, and cruising industries filling various roles and gaining extensive knowledge of the Service industry as well as what it takes to give excellent service. She travelled and worked in 9 different countries all over the globe to then finally settle down and start up Akaza Agency in Barcelona. After working single handedly for the first 3 years, she was then able to take on her first team member and so began the Akaza Team who have since been steadily growing the business. Since February 2010, Andréa joined forces with Richard from Holland who took on the role of office manager. Andréa speaks: Swedish, English, Spanish, German, French and Hungarian.

Richard

Richard has taken the role of office manager since February 2010. Richard is from the Netherlands, and has a strong background in the service industry. He studied hotel management in Holland, he has set up his own catering company and temping agency, and since 2005 he has been working in the same line of business, renting out apartments in Barcelona and knows this business inside out. He has lived in Barcelona since 2002, and almost became a local. If you want to have deep useless conversation about football (and especially Barça!), he is the man to talk to…

Alexandra our new manager arrived in early June, she is managing the team and applying her Legal and Tourism knowledge to the company. Alex will be busy improving our Marketing and Advertising departments as well as implementing different forms of Search Engine Optimization. Alexandra studied International business then Law in England and South Africa, and has diverse work experiences under her belt from TATLER magazine in London to North Island in the Seychelles. Always passionate about the service industry and people, Alex is really excited to join our international team and live in this incredible city.If you are interested in extreme sports, travelling the world and great food Alex will be the first to join you in a conversation, and if you want to know some secrets about the Gracia neighborhood she is adding to her collection every day. Laura Hinchliffe Autobiography
Hi, my name is Laura and I am from Liverpool England. I am 20 years old and am a third year student of Spanish and business at the University of Liverpool. I have come to Barcelona for 8 months to practice and improve my Spanish conversational skills and business vocabulary. I am also keen to be part of a business and to be able to put my marketing knowledge into practice. I enjoy horse riding and playing basketball in my spare time, as well as going out with friends. I am looking forward to making new friends and spending time in this beautiful and exciting city!

Anna from Hungary came to Spain to obtain some work experience abroad and improve her Spanish language skills. She studied Economics and obtained her degree in Hungary. Anna also spent half a year in France whilst studying cross-cultural marketing. She wants to work among international people while at the same time getting to know the Spanish people and culture. In spite of her specialization in finance and accounting, she would like to gain some experience in different economic sectors. In Akaza she deals with long term rentals so she can gain insight in the tourism sector as well as dealing with finance.

Aamir Rasool - Web Developer

Aamir Rasool is a programmer, joomla designer and asp.net programmer from Pakistan
He joined Akaza as a freelance web master at the end of 2008. He has recently completed his BS (Computer Science) from the Virtual University of Pakistan. Whilst working with Akaza, He wants to gain International work experience and perfect his computer programming skills. Aamir speaks English, Urdu, Spanish and Punjabi.

Samantha Noble

Samantha Noble came to Barcelona in 2006 to start a new life under the sun. She joined the Akaza house keeping team together with her mother Marilyn. Samantha has vast experience in this area, and together they have prooved themselves to work very much up to the standard of our guests expectations as we get nothing but positive feedback about the professional maintanance of the apartements.
You are very likely to meet Samantha or Marilyn at the time of check out if you have booked one of the apartments that Akaza manages for their owners.

Marilyn Noble, second team member of the Akaza house keeping staff. After 20 years of running her own enterprise back in the UK Marilyn decided to pack it up and together with her daughter Samantha, moved to Barcelona. Not only was she now working professionally with her daughter but also with her best of friends. Their care and perfection for the apartments is very obvious to anyone who has stayed in one of the Akaza Management apartments. |
