Andréa Drottholm

Andréa Drottholm owner and founder of Akaza Agency in 2003. She started working in the tourist and service industry 17 years ago, back in Sweden, her homeland. She had worked in the hotel business, cruising industry, restaurants filling various roles and picked up a very extensive knowledge about the Service industry and what it takes to give an excellent service. She travelled and worked in 9 different countries all over the globe to then finally settle down and start up Akaza Agency in Barcelona. After working single handedly for the first 3 years, she was then able to take on her first team member and Akaza Team, and has since then been steadily growing the team and the business. Since February 2010, Andréa is now joining force together with Richard Nijs from Holland who is taking the role as an office manager. Andréa speaks: Swedish, English, Spanish, German, French and Hungarian.

Zuzana, our team member since early December, is responsible for reserving Akaza guests accommodation in either one of our many apartments, rural houses or hotels. Originally from Slovakia, she studied Business Administration in Vienna and spent many summers in the United States working and enjoying the beautiful west coast during the warm months. She came to Barcelona to improve her Spanish and, of course, to enjoy the wonderful city of Barcelona. Besides Slovakian, Zuzana speaks fluently English, Spanish, German and Czech.

Lars arrived only on the first of February 2010 to join the team of Akaza. Lars is doing a 6-month internship for his bachelor degree in Business Administration. He is in charge of taking care of all the Akaza guest enquiries, helping them find the perfect accommodation for their stay in Spain or France. He studies International Business & Languages in Maastricht, close to his hometown Heerlen in the Netherlands. His mayor subjects are business economics, marketing and the languages English, Spanish and French. Lars languages are coming very handy as he has to deal with guests from all over the world. He is hoping for a great half year in the magnificent city of Barcelona, learning as much as possible and improving his languages at Akaza.

Annika, our Austrian intern, joined Akaza in November and came to Barcelona to learn some more about Spanish culture and get some working experience. Annika comes from a bilingual family and that is where she inherited her passion for foreign languages and travelling. After spending a year at a high school in Peru, where she learned her perfect Spanish, she decided to study Business Administration in Vienna and now after completing her Bachelor’s degree she wants to gather work experience and continue studying. Annika is in charge of long term apartment rentals as well as general enquiries about or services. Besides her two mother tongues German and Swedish, she speaks fluent English, Spanish and French.

Aamir Rasool - Web Developer

Aamir Rasool is a programmer, joomla designer and asp.net programmer from Pakistan.
He joined Akaza as a freelance web master end of 2008. He has recently completed his BS (Computer Science) with from Virtual University of Pakistan. During working with akaza, He wants to gain International work experience. He wants to make his computer programming skill more perfect while working with Akaza. Aamir speaks English, Urdu, Spanish and Punjabi.

Samantha Noble

Samantha Noble, Came to Barcelona 2006 to settle and start a new life under the sun. She joined the Akaza house keeping team together with her mother Marilyn. Samantha has a vast experience within this area, and together they have prooved themselves to work very much up to standard and to our guests expectations, as we get nothing but positive feedback about the professional maintanance of the apartements.

Marilyn Noble

Marilyn Noble, Second team member of the Akaza house keeping team. Marilyn after 20 years of running her own eneterprise back in the UK, decided to pack it up and together with her daughter Samantha moved to Barcelona. Not only working as a team with her daughter but also being best of friends. Their care and perfection for the apartments is very obvious to anyone who have stayed in one of the Akaza Managment apartments. |
