Akaza News
As the city of Barcelona is changing in this month of June to welcome the summer, the Akaza team is changing as well and said goodbye to one of our interns and welcomed a new one.
Sofie Uten has left the Akaza team at the beginning of June to return to Belgium in order to finish her International Business studies. She arrived in February to Akaza and she had a great time in Barcelona, professionally and personally. We already miss her. But fortunately, a new intern, Quentin, full of motivation arrived with his new view upon touristic services, and he will be delighted to help you in his new function.
Quentin comes from Paris, and he is doing an internship with Akaza to discover the touristic area and to improve his languages skills. He has obtained a master of communication, and he already loves our sparkling Barcelona!
This month we also have welcomed a new manager at the Akaza Office. Kristian will reinforce our team. He is going to take care of all the apartment related business in the near future. Andréa and Kristian are currently working together. Andréa will familiarize Kristian with all Akaza aspects to prepare him for the challenge. Andréa will start focussing more and more on the rural holidays and everything that comes with it. As you can see Akaza is always changing. So, keep an eye on our upcoming newsletter to read more about our new manager and the developments at our office.
New website
This month's newsletter is a little sneak peak at the design of our new website. As we have already mentioned it in previous newsletters, we are currently very busy with uploading all the content to the new Akaza website. The new website will also have a separate section about the rural houses. We have already some rural houses to offer, but we are planning on expanding this service all over Catalunya, Ibiza and even the south of France.
Did you know that...
...Akaza will have a brand new office manager, Kristian.
...Akaza has welcomed a new intern from Paris, Quentin.
...Sofie has left Akaza and returned to Belgium.
...Noortje will leave Akaza at the end of June.
...we will launch our completely new website soon.
...Andréa will start focussing on ´casas rurales´, or rural houses in Catalunya.
...it has been more than 25 degrees in Barcelona every day for the past two weeks.

According to the organizers of the SonarKids festival, this one "is designed for children to learn by enjoying music and art that they probably haven't done yet" and will provide them awakening and stimulation of their creativity. The Night of Saint John:
The 23rd of June is a special day in Barcelona, or I might say a special night. Indeed, the 23rd is the "San Joan", also called the "Nit de San Joan", celebrated in Barcelona from sundown to sunset. The night of Saint John marks the shorter night of the year and is celebrated by dancing and eating the famous "coca´s cake" around the bonfires lighted in all the major squares and streets of Barcelona.
However, if we can give you a little advice, you should go to the Barcelona's beaches to enjoy the best, because the major part of the fiestas takes place there, and then, at the end of the night, you should go to Montjuic where you will enjoy the sunrise as never before!
